Apex extrusion

The VMI-AZ Apex 70 extruder is optimized for extrusion of apex profiles. This system is designed for the automatic VMI Bead Apex line.

The system is equipped with a rapid die change extrusion head which reduces the time for a die package exchange to around 15 seconds! The die package includes a pre-die.

Optionally the extruder head can be supplied with an integrated strainer plate.

The main features of the system are:
  • Unique screw diameter of 70 mm precisely matches the output for the VMI Bead Apex Line
  • Die exchange within 15 seconds
  • Quick hopper
  • Feed control
  • Available as PIN-Type or Transfermix extruder
Optionally the VMI-AZ Apex 70 extrusion system can be supplied with a feeding unit for tension less rubber strip feeding, or with a zigzag cutter feeding unit. As well a metal detector can be installed on the feeding unit.
